Every year, the University of Illinois honors sixteen academic professionals and civil service staff members through the Chancellor's Staff Excellence Award. This award celebrates staff excellence in eight categories: administrative and public engagement, clerical administrative support, crafts and trades, education/extension/CITL, information technology, research, service and maintenance, and student services.
Asian American Studies is thrilled to announce our office administrative aide Christine Lyke is one of this year's winners of this prestigious award. With her dedication to the department, eagerness to help others, and her uncanny ability to solve even the trickiest problems, it is no surprise that she received the award for excellence in clerical administrative support.
Lyke has worked for Asian American Studies since 2013, and the positive impact she has made on the department is immeasurable. Next time you stop by the department, make sure to congratulate our award-winner!
