The Asian American Studies Department has the distinct pleasure of announcing that our colleague and Associate Head, Junaid Rana, has been named the recipient of the Association of Asian American Studies (AAAS) Book Award for the Social Sciences 2011.  He will officially receive his award at the AAAS Dinner on Saturday night of the AAAS Annual Conference, which I hope you have all signed up for.  Please join us in congratulating Junaid.
