Several Asian American Studies faculty and graduate students were recognized for their teaching, research, and service to the Asian American campus community at the 16th Annual Asian American Leadership Awards celebration held April 25, 2011. Professor Augusto Espiritu received the "Outstanding Asian American Faculty/Staff Award." Professor Kent Ono was awarded the "Asian American Studies Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching."
